On Oct. 19, 1925, the Park City Daily News ran an article reporting that a “Sextette Of Juveniles Continue To Terrorize Merchants And Others.” A band of boys, five white and one black, were stealing “anything they could get their hands on,” including chickens and shoes.

The boys had been arrested several times, and people of the city were “insisting something be done with them,” specifically that the Circuit Court should “order them to a school of reform.”
