Four programs at Western Kentucky University have received support from Abound Credit Union.

The credit union made a pledge of $105,000 to support the following programs: 2023-25 Personal Finance Summer Camps (Center for Financial Success in the Gordon Ford College of Business); Celebration of the Arts 2023 Title Sponsorship (Kentucky Museum); Textbooks for Troops (Military Student Services); and M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan (Housing and Residence Life).

The Personal Finance Summer Camp gives area high school students the opportunity to learn about financial literacy through hands-on, engaging activities.

The annual Celebration of the Arts exhibition invites southcentral Kentucky artists to have their work shown and judged, providing a vital professional development opportunity as well as community recognition of our region’s artistic talent and diversity.

WKU’s Textbooks for Troops program assists eligible veterans, military students and dependents by loaning textbooks for undergraduate and graduate programs.

A WKU tradition since 1993, M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan is designed to help first-year students smoothly transition to life as a Hilltopper. The program, held annually the week before fall classes begin, allows students to experience campus living before their first class.
