BOWLING GREEN – Linda Lou Allison, 82, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully on Jan. 4, 2023, in Nashville, TN with her children at her bedside. Linda died of complications from a head injury sustained after a fall.

Born Linda Lou Willis on July 13, 1940 in Depoy, KY to the late Bill and Margaret (Vinson) Willis, Linda was raised in Graham and graduated from Graham High School in 1958. Following graduation, she relocated to Detroit, MI and worked as a corporate secretary for a large insurance firm.

In 1960, she married the late James E. Allison, who predeceased her in 2001. Together they had two children, David and Kimberly. The family relocated to Bowling Green, KY in 1977. Linda was a dynamo with a fantastic work ethic. She was employed in the commercial food industry most of her life, owning and operating restaurants in both Detroit and Bowling Green and later working as a sales representative for Southern Foods until her retirement in 2006.

Linda had many interests and many friends. She is a member of Eastwood Baptist Church; SkyPac; the Eaglestone Community; and “A” Book Club. A former member of the Bowling Green Women’s Club; Bowling Restaurant Association; Kentucky Restaurant Association; and the Port Oliver Yacht Club.

Linda had a zest for life and enjoyed fine dining, travel, the theater and live music performances, meeting new people, and especially spending time with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her siblings Archie, Bob, Martha, Joyce, June, Raymond and Jerry.

She is survived by her two children, Drs. David Allison (Sandra) of Virginia; and Kimberly Judkins (Don Floyd) of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Austin Allison, Karenna Allison, Olivia Allison and Zachary Judkins (Deanna); two great-grandchildren Aiden Judkins and Caleb Judkins; sisters-in-law Cheryl Willis and Sally Willis; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Eastwood Baptist Church, Bowling Green, KY. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Greg Swack officiating. Donations may be made to American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
