Fed up on gun inaction

Sen. McConnell, please get gun laws passed to prevent the senseless murders of our children and others.

I don’t own a gun but have never minded individuals owning pistols or hunting rifles. However, there is not one good reason that I can think of why someone should be allowed to own assault rifles or magazines that hold a high quantity of bullets. These things are designed to KILL PEOPLE. I also think there must be record checks to prevent felons and others from buying guns. I agree that mental health issues do contribute to the killings but many mentally ill people are quite adept at hiding their illnesses.

Stop spending time on political rhetoric and get down to the business of protecting our children. We Americans are fed up with the status quo. Please tell me how you will deal with this issue henceforth. The NRA should not trump the safety of our children.
