The fall season of the Bowling Green Opera House opened with a production of the play “Daniel Boone on the Trail” as reported in the Park City Daily News of Oct. 5, 1909.
This play, written by Robert H. Harris, was later used as the basis for films about the frontiersman’s adventures. This particular production featured a thrilling scene where Boone saves his daughter from live wolves: before the show the wolves were displayed in a cage in front of the Opera House. The price of admission started at 25 cents.
