Man shot in Simpson, police make arrest

Police made an arrest after a shooting in Simpson County left one man injured.
The Franklin Police Department said police were dispatched at 9:16 a.m. Monday to Eddings Road on an initial report of an active shooting with multiple gunmen and victims.
Officers were flagged down by gunshot victim Garcia Conner, 38, of Franklin, who told police the shooter was in the Garvin Point Apartment Complex.
Police were given multiple possible locations for the shooter, identified as Christopher Chadick, 40, of Franklin, and nearby businesses were notified and locked down for a short time.
Police located Chadick and took him into custody without incident, charging him with attempted murder, possession of a defaced firearm, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree criminal mischief and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Conner was taken to The Medical Center at Franklin and then transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he is in stable condition, according to Franklin police.
