Govs’ Wilson breaks 100-yard receiving mark in home win

Austin Peay junior wide receiver DeAngelo Wilson (Bowling Green Class of 2017) hauled in a team-high six catches for 126 yards in Saturday’s 38-24 home win over UT Martin.

Wilson also had three rushing attempts for 16 yards and returned a punt for the Governors.

Austin Peay (7-3 overall, 5-1 OVC) is at Murray State on Nov. 16.

Purdue graduate student linebacker Ben Holt (Bowling Green Class of 2015) tallied a team-high 10 tackles, including one tackle for a loss of two yards, in Saturday’s 24-22 road win at Northwestern.

Purdue (4-6 overall, 3-4 Big Ten) returns to action Nov. 23 at Wisconsin.

Western Kentucky redshirt senior defensive back Ta’Corian Darden (Russellville Class of 2015) totaled three tackles – one solo – in Saturday’s 45-19 road win at Arkansas.

WKU redshirt junior offensive lineman Jordan Meredith (Bowling Green Class of 2016) started at right guard and helped the Hilltoppers amass 478 yards of total offense in the win.

Western Kentucky (6-4) is back in action Nov. 23 at Southern Miss.

Lindsey Wilson senior defensive lineman Damani Jenkins (Barren County Class of 2015) tallied four tackles and a half-sack in Saturday’s 34-18 home win over Georgetown.

Lindsey Wilson redshirt freshman defensive lineman Devan Jackson (Bowling Green Class of 2018) added a tackle for loss in the victory.

Lindsey Wilson (9-0, 6-0 Mid-South Conference) is at Cumberlands on Nov. 16.

Centre junior quarterback Clark Payne (Bowling Green Class of 2017) completed 5-of-6 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 45-22 home loss to Berry (Ga.).

Payne connected with Jordan Gunter on a 50-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter.

Centre senior defensive back Karim Kimble (Glasgow Class of 2016) tallied a solo tackle, and Colonels senior kicker/punter Tanner South (Greenwood Class of 2016) handled two kickoffs for 81 yards.

Centre (5-5 overall, 3-5 Southern Athletic Association) completed its regular season.

Kentucky Wesleyan senior wide receiver Jacob Yates (Bowling Green Class of 2016) tallied two catches for 14 yards in Saturday’s 35-25 road loss to Frostburg (Md.).

KWC junior wide receiver Chauncey Greer (Warren East Class of 2017) had one catch for seven yards.

Kentucky Wesleyan junior defensive lineman Dalan Cofer (Bowling Green Class of 2017) finished with one tackle. KWC redshirt sophomore defensive back Malcolm Johnson (Greenwood Class of 2017) also had a tackle.

Panthers junior offensive lineman Charles Tooley (Bowling Green Class of 2017) had a fumble recovery. Tooley started at right tackle for KWC.

Kentucky Wesleyan (0-10) hosts Alderson-Broaddus (W.Va.) on Nov. 16.

Campbellsville redshirt freshman quarterback Chase Wilson (Allen County-Scottsville Class of 2018) completed 3-of-9 passes for 18 yards in Saturday’s 28-13 home loss to Cumberland (Tenn.).

Tigers sophomore defensive back Xavier Newland (Franklin-Simpson Class of 2017) tallied solo tackles and had a pass breakup. Newland also had a kickoff return for 38 yards.

Campbellsville (1-8 overall, 0-6 Mid-South Conference) is at Bethel (Tenn.) on Nov. 16.

Union (0-10 overall, 0-5 Mid-South Conference) visits Reinhardt (Ga.) on Nov. 16.

Rose-Hulman (Ind.) freshman linebacker Pete Cross (South Warren Class of 2019) tallied a pair of tackles and recovered a fumble in Saturday’s 42-13 home loss to Hanover (Ind.).

Rose-Hulman (6-3 overall, 5-2 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) is at Saint John’s (Minn.) on Nov. 16.
