A Wisconsin man was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 65 in Hart County.

Anthony Todd Davenport, 56, of Milwaukee, was pronounced dead on the scene after the 12:22 a.m. accident near the 67-mile marker, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green. A passenger in the 2018 Chevrolet Impala that Davenport was driving, Deshevia Philips, 50, of Milwaukee, was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said Davenport’s car left the right shoulder of the road, reentered the road and crossed all northbound lanes before striking a concrete barrier, overturning at least once and stopping in the right lane. Davenport was pronounced dead by the Hart County Coroner’s Office, according to the release.

KSP Trooper Jarrod Lewis responded to the crash and is leading the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Hart County EMS, Hart County Emergency Management, the Hart County coroner and other KSP personnel.
