Hot Rods blank Lansing

Alan Strong pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Bowling Green Hot Rods to a sixth straight win with a 3-0 victory at Lansing (Mich.) on Sunday.
Strong (5-4) allowed four hits with a walk and six strikeouts as Bowling Green improved to 47-33 overall, 8-2 in the second half.
Osmy Gregorio had two hits and an RBI to pace the offense, while Ford Proctor finished with a hit and an RBI and Izzy Wilson added a hit and a run scored.
Cristofer Ogando tossed two innings of relief, striking out three, to earn his third save of the season.
The Hot Rods will look to sweep the three-game series against Lansing when the series wraps up at 6:05 p.m. CDT Monday. Right-hander Easton McGee (5-2, 3.88) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods with righty Troy Watson (2-1, 4.91) scheduled to start for the Lugnuts.
