Human remains found last year in Barren County have been confirmed to be those of a man reported missing two years ago.

The Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains, found off Veterans Outer Loop in 2018, as belonging to Bret Broffman Jr., according to the Glasgow Police Department.

Broffman, 27, was a Louisville resident who was last seen at a music festival in Cincinnati in the first week of June 2017, according to a missing person’s flyer circulated online by the Missing Pieces Network. 

He was believed to be traveling to Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee at the time he went missing.

Broffman’s abandoned vehicle was found June 8, 2017, in Glasgow.

Someone in a Louisville Metro Police Helicopter spotted the remains last year in the area where Broffman’s vehicle was found.
