Emily Kay Forshee, a Bowling Green High School senior, is one of 162 students across the country to receive a $1,000 Make An Impact Scholarship from Modern Woodmen of America.

The award recognizes young Modern Woodmen members who have made a local impact through volunteerism and demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Emily is the daughter of Trent and LaDonna Forshee.

She will attend Western Kentucky University this fall.
