Hot Rods blanked at Lake County

The Bowling Green Hot Rods were held to a season-low four hits in a 7-0 loss at Lake County (Ohio) on Wednesday.
Lake County (5-2) chased Bowling Green starter Shane McClanahan in the first inning and took a second straight game from the Hot Rods.
McClanahan retired just one batter, allowing three runs – all earned – on two hits with three walks. Bowling Green (3-4) used two more relievers before turning to infielder Jake Palomaki, who retired all six batters he faced.
Kaleo Johnson had a double for the Hot Rods, while Wander Franco added a triple.
The series concludes at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Right-hander Joe Ryan (0-0, 9.00) is scheduled to start for Bowling Green. Lefty Raymond Burgos (1-0, 0.00) is scheduled to start for Lake County.
