Jersey Mike’s Subs, a New Jersey-based chain of sandwich restaurants with a location on Scottsville Road in Bowling Green, joined with its customers in March during the ninth annual “Month of Giving” to raise more than $7.3 million to help charities nationwide.
That is $1 million more than was raised during last year’s campaign.
The Bowling Green Jersey Mike’s raised $4,636 for the Joseph’s Hope Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to assist families with adoption expenses.
The campaign culminated March 27, Day of Giving, when 1,500 Jersey Mike’s restaurants donated 100 percent of sales, not just profits, to more than 200 charities across the nation.
