Bendix employee honored for safety idea

Justin Reynolds, a maintenance technician at Bowling Green’s Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake manufacturing plant, has been recognized with an award in Bendix’s annual Knorr Production System awards program.

Reynolds earned one of three Best Quick Kaizen awards for a safety improvement in a bracket welder in the drum brake machining department.

The Knorr Production System awards recognize teams and individuals who are helping improve workplace safety, production quality and manufacturing efficiency.

All Bendix manufacturing operations participate in the KPS quality, productivity and continuous improvement culture practiced throughout the Munich, Germany-based Knorr-Bremse Group, of which Bendix is a member.

Opened in 2007, the Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake manufacturing operation has continued to grow to keep pace with demand for Bendix wheel-end solutions. The site employs 487 people and produces Bendix brand foundation drum and air disc brake solutions.
