Lemberg’s second-place finish paces WKU at Hilltopper Relays

Getter Lemberg’s second-place finish in the women’s pole vault highlighted host Western Kentucky’s opening day of the Hilltopper Relays on Friday at the Charles M. Reuter Track & Field Complex.

Lemberg’s height of 13 feet, 1.75 inches was good for second behind Grand Valley State’s Ellianne Kimes (13-09.25).

Other scoring finishes for WKU included Savannah Heckman’s fifth-place finish in the women’s 3,000 meters (10:53.98) and Ethan Snyder’s fifth-place finish in the men’s 3,000 meters (9:23.08).

The Hilltopper Relays continue Saturday with field events beginning at 9 a.m. and track events starting at noon.
