Lady Toppers fall 6-1 to Wright State

Western Kentucky’s women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to host Wright State on Saturday in Dayton, Ohio.
WKU (2-11) got its lone point at No. 2 singles, where junior Lisa Friess topped Wright State’s Haily Morgan 6-3, 7-6.

After losing the doubles point, the Lady Toppers dropped five of six singles matches. WKU’s Laura Bernardos fell 6-3, 6-4 to Wright State’s Andreea Craciun at No. 1 singles.
The Raiders’ No. 3 Luisa Pelayo beat WKU’s Lucia Diaz Saez 6-3, 6-3, No. 4 Madison Riley topped Judit Gonzalez Agud 6-3, 6-3 and No. 5 Jillian Milano downed the Lady Tops’ Zeniece Charles-Hall 6-3, 6-1.
Wright State won by default at No. 6 singles.
Western Kentucky returns to action Sunday at Dayton. The match begins at 9 a.m. CDT.
