Site Selection magazine named the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce as the top-performing economic development organization serving an area with a population of 200,000 or less nationwide in 2018.

In a news conference Monday at the chamber offices, Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon said the designation confirms his belief that Bowling Green’s chamber is the best in the country. He commended the chamber for playing a part in the area’s economic growth.

“This is a special place and it takes so many people to make things happen the way it happens in Warren County,” he said.

Ron Bunch, the chamber’s president and CEO, commended the city, county and local business community for giving rise to local growth.

“How well the city and county work together is phenomenal,” he said. “We could not be the community we are and have been if it weren’t for their work together and our private-sector business community that not only invests in all the things like this building you’re sitting in but in all the other important initiatives that make our community great.”
