Lady Raiders down Monroe County

The Warren East girls’ basketball team won for the third time in four days, downing Monroe County 58-53 on Thursday at Monroe County High School.

Tanaya Bailey led Warren East (14-16) with 14 points. Hailey Hymer added 13 points, while Lucy Patterson finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Warren East will host the District 14 tournament, which begins Monday. The Lady Raiders will play Wednesday at 6 p.m., facing Bowling Green.

South Warren 60, Hopkinsville 56

Four players finished in double figures as South Warren (16-11) won its regular-season finale.

Natalie Pierce led the way with 15 points. Lexi Button had 14 points, Brooke Stevenson added 12 points and Taylor Enlow finished with 11 points.

South Warren will open play in the District 14 tournament at 6 p.m. Tuesday, facing the winner of Monday’s play-in game between Greenwood and Warren Central.

Allen County-Scottsville 63,

Todd County Central 35

The Lady Patriots reached the 20-win mark with a blowout win over the Lady Rebels.

Sarah Sutton led Allen County-Scottsville (20-6) with 25 points and seven rebounds, while Mason Towery added 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

ACS will face Barren County in the opening round of the District 15 tournament at Monroe County at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Todd County Central 50, boys

Brett Rippy had 17 points to lead the Patriots past Todd County Central.

Owen Stamper added 14 points, while Mason Shirley finished with 13 points.

Allen County-Scottsville (22-7) will face host Monroe County in the District 15 tournament at 7:45 p.m. Monday.
