Claude Badgett

Hancock Bank and Trust Co. announced the promotion of Claude R. Badgett to chief executive officer at the bank’s annual shareholders meeting in January.

Badgett, a native of Madisonville now living in Bowling Green, has been employed at the bank since 2011 in various duties focusing on technology and financial management.

He is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a graduate of the first class of Leadership Kentucky’s ELEVATE Kentucky, a program for millennial leaders.

Badgett will lead the 131-year-old community bank with offices in seven locations.
