Glasgow native, former WKU RB Trigg transferring to Wagner

Former Western Kentucky running back Marquez Trigg announced Wednesday that he’ll finish his college football career at Wagner.
“It’s been a long process,” Trigg wrote on Twitter, announcing he’ll play for the FCS program in Staten Island, N.Y. “Ready to get to NY this weekend and get ready for the 2019 season!”
Trigg is a Glasgow native who signed with WKU in the Class of 2015 after a standout career at Glasgow High School. He averaged 135 yards per game on the ground and tallied 4,765 yards and 75 touchdowns over his career for the Scotties.
Trigg played 10 games in 2016 as a redshirt freshman. He gained 298 yards on 71 carries and scored two touchdowns.
As a redshirt sophomore in 2017, Trigg ran 51 times for 167 yards and scored another pair of TDs.
Trigg carried the ball nine times for 12 yards as a redshirt junior in 2018. He left the program after the Hilltoppers’ third game of the season.
