Class of 2019 prospect Marion Humphrey was in E.A. Diddle Arena for an official visit Saturday. The 6-foot-2 guard took in WKU’s 96-71 exhibition win against Division II squad Kentucky Wesleyan.

Humphrey was originally a Class of 2018 prospect out of Hoover (Ala.) High School. He elected to play a post-grad prep season at Taylor Made Basketball Academy in Pensacola, Fla.

WKU is one of a series of visits Humphrey has made. He’s also visited Central Florida, Drexel and San Diego and is supposed to visit Providence next, sources told the Daily News.

Humphrey played basketball at Hoover High School and was also a track and field star.

On the court, Humphrey was named third team all-state in the Class 7A boys’ division by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

On the track, Humphrey won Alabama Class 7A state titles this year in the 400-meter dash, 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. He was named the Super All-State Track Athlete of the Year, according to AL.com.

Humphrey comes from a football family.

His older brother Marlon was a First Team All-American cornerback at Alabama in 2016 who helped the Crimson Tide to the 2015 national title. Marlon Humphrey was drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens and is in his second season with the team.

Humphrey’s father Bobby also was an All-American at Alabama, rushing for 3,420 yards and scoring 40 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide during the 1980s. Bobby Humphrey played in the NFL for the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills from 1989-95.

Class of 2019 athletes can sign national letters of intent during an early period that runs Nov. 14-Nov. 21.

Two Class of 2019 prospects are publicly committed to coach Rick Stansbury’s program: forward Isaiah Cozart (Madison Central HS, Richmond) and guard Jackson Harlan (Clinton County HS, Albany).

Class of 2020 center Nick Ongenda (Southwest Christian Academy, Little Rock, Ark.) is also committed.
