Tisdale scores 2 TDs in Purples win at Owensboro

Visiting Bowling Green scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters and shut out Owensboro in the second half to pick up a 21-12 football victory Friday night.
Vito Tisdale had a pair of 1-yard rushing touchdowns and Purples quarterback Beau Buchanan connected with Ivan Drobocky on a 14-yard touchdown pass.
Bowling Green (4-0) visits Warren Central on Sept. 14.

Warren Central held a 6-all tie at halftime before falling to John Hardin 36-6 in the home opener for the Dragons. Chris Horn caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Xavier Ingram in the second quarter for the Dragons’ only score.
Warren Central (0-4), which has lost 28 straight, hosts Bowling Green next week.
Logan County 49,
Russellville 7
Logan County piled up 492 yards of total offense to down visiting crosstown rival Russellville 49-7 on Friday.
Cougars running back Gary Hardy ran for 127 yards on 14 carries with three touchdowns. Logan County quarterback Tyler Ezell added 84 rushing yards and a pair of scores, and Carson Bradley also tallied a rushing touchdown.
Ezell also had a big day passing, completing 19-of-26 passes for 237 yards and a 21-yard touchdown strike to Anthony Woodard.
Russellville (2-2) grabbed a first-quarter lead when quarterback Jacob Naylor connected with Lennon Ries on a 65-yard touchdown pass, but from there it was all Logan County (4-0).
Ries led the Panthers with three catches for 79 yards and a score.
Logan County visits McLean County on Sept. 14. Russellville hosts Trigg County on Sept. 14.

Butler County 0
Visiting Apollo (4-0) kept Butler County winless with a 52-0 victory Friday.
The Bears were held to just 34 total yards. Bryar Beasley passed for 34 yards and Dawson Carroll had two catches for 30 yards to lead Butler County (0-4).
The Bears host Muhlenberg County on Sept. 14.
Barren County 21,
Monroe County 20
Barren County made a stand on a two-point conversion to defeat Monroe County 21-20 for the Trojans’ first win of the season.
The Trojans (1-3) took their first lead of the night on a touchdown pass from Zach Johnson to Karsten Chelson with 1:07 to play. Johnson punched in the two-point conversion to go up 21-14.
Monroe County’s Jholdi Brooks returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown, but the Trojans stopped the two-point conversion for the win.
