New Beginnings Christian Ministries, 1182 Stubbins St., will celebrate paying off its mortgage at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at Knicely Conference Center, 2355 Nashville Road. The event will include a buffet dinner, music, a celebration floor and fellowship. The Rev. Leslie Whitlock of First Corinthian Church of Frankfort will speak. The deaconesses of State Street Baptist Church will have a women’s conference Sept. 15 at Mariah’s, 380 Eighth Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The theme will be “Armed and Dangerous.” Dr. Stephanie Barber of St. Stephen Church in Jeffersonville, Ind., will be the guest minister. The cost will be $20 per ticket. Southside Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday. Worship will be at 9:30 a.m., and singing with New Journey Quartet will be at 10:30 a.m. There will be a potluck lunch after the singing. There will not be an evening service.

Jackson Grove Baptist Church, 959 Bristow Road, will have homecoming Sept. 16. Morning worship will be at 10 a.m., and singing with the Commonwealth Quartet will be at 11 a.m. A potluck meal will follow the singing. The Pastor’s Aide of Eleventh Street Baptist Church, 1035 Kenton St., will have Four Season Tea at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guests will be Eleventh Street Brotherhood, the Union District Brotherhood, the Rev. Bush and choir, the Eleventh Street Youth, Desmond Anthony and the Movement, Oakland Baptist Church Choir and Next Level Choir and Dance team. Food from all four seasons will be served. The Rev. The Willing Workers of Eleventh Street Baptist Church, 1035 Kenton St., will have its annual tea at 11 a.m. Sept. 15. The theme will be “Thirsting for a Cup of Tea.” Sis. North Side Free Will Baptist Church on U.S. 31-W By-Pass north of Bowling Green will have homecoming Sept. 16. A meal will follow the 11 a.m. service. The Singing Seniors will sing at 1:15 p.m.

Clear Fork Baptist Church, 303 Clear Fork Church Spur Road in Rockfield, will have fall revival at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Bro. Sam Moore from Arkansas will be the guest.

Woodburn First Baptist Church, 176 Fletcher St., will begin Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. Sunday. Following Sunday school, the church will travel to Blue Level Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. for the Rev. James Carpenter’s pastor’s anniversary. J.L. Williams is pastor.

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 874 E. 11th Ave., will have its 18th Year Celebration Pastoral Anniversary for Pastor Frederick and first lady minister Estella Hill on Sept. 16. The theme will be “You’ve Been Better Than Good.” Pastor Ronald Johnson of The Loving Union Church, Sunnyside, will be the 10:15 a.m. guest. Pastor Ford Huskey of Powerhouse Ministries will be the 2:30 p.m. guest.

Trinity Full Gospel Baptist Church will celebrate its 19th pastor’s anniversary Sept. 23. Pastor Robert Whitlock will be the guest speaker and his congregation of New Jerusalem Baptist Church of Evansville, Ind., will be guests. The morning service will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Bowling Green, 2033 Nashville Road, will have a service at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Roger Mohr. The topic will be “The Deeper Questions.” Much of each life is about solving immediate, practical problems. But the search for wisdom requires that we dig a lot deeper to find answers. The Ascendants program will resume at 9:45 a.m.

The Garmons will sing at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Martinsville Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland.

Rocky Springs Church will have its fifth Sunday night singing Sept. 30 with three other churches.

Bro. Kevin Spencer of the Spencers will sing at 6 p.m. Saturday at Plano Holiness Chapel Church, 1876 Plano Road. Kevin Hinton is pastor.

Heart and Soul Ministries Gospel Jubilee will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at Happiness Way General Baptist Church, 128 Roy Layne Road in Lebanon Junction. Groups appearing will be The Turner Family, Bro. The Turner Family of Bowling Green will sing at 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at New Zion General Baptist Church on Lees Lane in Louisville.

Barber Way General Baptist Church, 1121 Barber Way off Smallhouse Road, will host and sponsor The Turner Family reunion/homecoming singing at 5 p.m. Sept. 29. The church will have the Brown Family from Bowling Green and The Bilbreys from Russellville as guests. Food and fellowship will be after the singing. Joe Boyd is pastor.

The New Spiritualettes will host a benefit program for the Rev. David Middlebrook at 6 p.m. Sunday at New Light Church, where the Rev. Reggie Wiggins is pastor. Choirs, groups and soloists are asked to render an A&B selection. Middlebrook is pastor of Rockcastle Baptist Church in Russellville. On Aug. 7, he was admitted to The Medical Center with bleeding and swelling on the brain and is currently in a coma. He is showing improvements, but still has a long way to go. The Singing Seniors will be the guest singers at 1:15 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Butler County for their homecoming. Worship service will be at 11 a.m. with a potluck lunch to follow.

Bro. Tim Eaton and The Spear Family from Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Barren County will be the guest singers at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1150 Fairview Ave. Billy Moran is pastor.

Clear Fork Baptist Church, 303 Clear Fork Spur Road in Rockfield, will have its 5th Sunday night singing at 6 p.m. Sept. 30. Several churches will attend. Refreshments will follow the singing.
