Hot Rods fall at Dayton

The Bowling Green Hot Rods were held to just two hits in a 3-1 loss at Dayton (Ohio) on Saturday.
Moises Gomez homered, his 14th of the season, and Taylor Walls singled as Bowling Green (78-46 overall, 31-24 second half) fell to 3-5 on the current 10-game road trip.
J.D. Busfield took the loss, his first decision this season with the Hot Rods, allowing three runs and five hits in six innings with three strikeouts.
The series continues at 1 p.m. CDT on Sunday. Right-hander Mac Sceroler (2-5, 5.67) is scheduled to start for Dayton, with right-hander Mikey York (1-0, 2.54) scheduled to start for the Hot Rods.
