Haddock tallies 4 goals in Lady Gators’ home win

Anna Haddock tallied four goals as Greenwood’s girls’ soccer team opened its season at home Saturday with a 5-1 win over Marshall County.

Rachel Heltsley chipped in with a goal, Alexa Ketchem had two assists and Kylie Tisdale and Autumn Wiles finished with one assist each for the Lady Gators.

Greenwood is back in action Monday at Warren Central.

Barren County 4, Hart County 0

Ally Bell and Laney Smith notched two goals and an assist apiece to lead Barren County to a 4-0 win Saturday over Hart County in the Lady Dragons Lair Classic at Warren Central.

Goalkeeper Gracelyn Deweese had two saves.

Boys’ soccer

South Warren 1, Lafayette 1

South Warren earned a 1-1 tie against Lafayette on Saturday in the Lexington Soccer Showcase.

Anthony Cano tallied the goal for the Spartans off an assist from Eldin Velic.

Earlier Saturday, South Warren lost a 2-1 decision to Bryan Station.

Bowling Green went 0-2 in the same event Saturday, falling 3-0 to Henry Clay and 8-1 to Bryan Station.

Bowling Green (1-3) is back in action Tuesday at Greenwood. South Warren 2-1-1) next plays Thursday at Bowling Green.

Russellville 5, Campbellsville 1

Avery Flener finished with four goals to lead Russellville’s boys’ soccer team to a 5-1 win over visiting Campbellsville on Saturday.

Hunter McDowell added a goal, and Dustin Brown and Kevin Vera finished with one assist each in the win for the Panthers.

Russellville (3-0-1) returns to action Tuesday at Logan County.
