Lansing powers past Hot Rods

The Lansing (Mich.) Lugnuts used a late rally to down the Bowling Green Hot Rods 6-4 on Sunday in Lansing.
Bowling Green (76-42 overall, 29-20 second half) scored four runs in the sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead, but Lansing scored two in the bottom of the sixth to tie it and got a two-run homer from Ryan Noda in the seventh for the game winner.
Jim Haley, Ronaldo Hernandez and Trey Hair finished with two hits each for the Hot Rods, who finished 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded 11 runners.
Tyler Day allowed two runs in two innings to take the loss, dropping to 0-4 on the season.
The series continues at 6:05 p.m. CDT on Monday. Right-hander Mikey York (1-0, 2.39) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods, with lefty Matt Gunter (4-4, 5.12) slated to start for Lansing.
