Hot Rods beat Lansing

Moises Gomez had a homer and three RBIs as the Bowling Green Hot Rods opened a 10-game road trip with an 8-6 win at Lansing (Mich.) on Saturday.
Taylor Walls added two hits and three runs scored for Bowling Green (76-41 overall, 29-19 second half), while Devin Davis drove in a pair of runs.
Paul Campbell earned the win to improve to 3-0. Campbell went five innings, allowing five runs – four earned – and seven hits. Simon Rosenblum-Larson earned his second save of the season, allowing one run in two innings.
The series continues at 12:05 p.m. Sunday. Right-hander Kyle Weatherly (3-1, 3.39) is scheduled to start for Lansing. Bowling Green has yet to announce Sunday’s starter.
