Hot Rods beat Fort Wayne

Devin Davis had three hits and three RBIs as the Bowling Green Hot Rods made it two straight over Fort Wayne (Ind.) with a 5-4 victory at Fort Wayne on Saturday.

Alexander Alvarez and Taylor Walls had two hits and an RBI each for Bowling Green (58-28 overall, 11-6 second half), while Moises Gomez had two hits and a run scored.

Tyler Zombro tossed four scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits, to earn the win and improve to 6-2 on the season.

Jose Disla finished it off in the ninth for his third save of the season.

The series continues at 2:05 CDT on Sunday. Right-hander Tobias Myers (9-4, 4.15) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods with Fort Wayne’s starter to be announced.
