Bowling Green wins 10th straight

The Bowling Green Hot Rods equaled a franchise record with a 10th straight victory, winning 5-1 at Lake County (Ohio) on Saturday in Eastlake, Ohio.

It’s the second time in franchise history Bowling Green (46-22) has won 10 straight, with both streaks coming this season.

Ronaldo Hernandez had a pair of homers and three RBIs to pace the offense. Carl Chester finished with two hits, while Devin Davis added a two-run homer.

Tobias Myers earned the win to improve to 8-3 on the season. Myers allowed one run and five hits over six innings with five strikeouts and two walks.

Jhonleider Salinas tossed a scoreless inning of relief for the Hot Rods, with Phoenix Sanders allowing one hit while striking out two over the final two innings.

Bowling Green will wrap up play in the first half Sunday, concluding a three-game series at Lake County.

Lefty Resly Linares (0-1, 6.50) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods, with right-hander Francisco Perez (4-3, 3.96) scheduled to start for Lake County.{&end}
