Class of ’19 prospects Jennings, Powell commit to Hilltoppers

Western Kentucky picked up a pair of 2019 commitments Friday night.

Running back Terrell Jennings (Mandarin HS, Jacksonville, Fla.) and offensive lineman Daylen Powell (Summerville High School, Summerville, S.C.) both announced commitments Friday to WKU.

Jennings and Powell are the fifth scholarship prospects to join the Toppers’ Class of 2019. Both have been on WKU’s campus for the Hilltopper Hangout recruiting event.

Jennings is the first running back and first Florida native to join the class. He also holds reported offers from Kent State, South Florida and FCS school Tennessee Tech.

Powell joins Joshua Black as offensive linemen committed to WKU. He’s the first South Carolina native to join the class.

Powell is rated by 247Sports Composite as a three-star prospect ranked No. 1,741 overall in the Class of 2019, No. 138 among offensive tackles in the class and No. 33 among South Carolinians in the class.

Powell also holds reported offers from Appalachian State, Georgia State, Marshall, Navy and a handful of FCS schools.
