New Beginnings Christian Ministries at Stubbins Street and 12th Avenue will have classes on the New Testament from 7 to 8 p.m. each Wednesday. Ron and Sharon Whitlock are pastors.

Morgantown Church of Christ, 640 West G.L. Smith St., will have Vacation Bible School – “Polar Blast: Where Jesus’ Love is Cool” – from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 16. In addition to Bible lessons, music programs and a short nap time for the youngest participants (please bring a nap mat), the all-day VBS will include breakfast, a light lunch and an afternoon cookout.

A Bible study will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Fazoli’s.

Victory Baptist Church is enrolling for the fall semester for its three-year chronological study through the Bible. The church is at 1740 Cave Mill Road and is currently meeting at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church facility. For more information, call Pastor Scott Kennedy at 270-734-1768.

Icy Sink Baptist Church will have a mortgage burning celebration June 12-14. The guests will be the Rev. Don Duvall and Seventh Street Baptist Church on June 12, the Rev. Kenny Boards and Fairview Baptist Church on June 13 and the Rev. Robert Pearson on June 14.

New Salem Baptist Church will have Family and Friends Day on June 17. Chad Winston of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Brownsville will be the 11 a.m. speaker. Bishop Thomas Murrell is pastor.

The Sanctuary Retreat will host a five-day youth camp June 19-23 for children in grades 3-12. Activities will include worship services, Bible studies, peer group discussions, tribal war games, table ball, gaga ball, mannequin shows and more. Mount Herman Baptist Church in Adairville will sponsor a charter bus trip to visit the replica of Noah’s Ark in Willliamstown and The Freedom Center in Cincinnati. Marriah Grove Baptist Church will have Men’s and Women’s Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Barrett Wright and First Baptist Church of Scottsville will be the guests.

Martinsville Missionary Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m. and preaching will be at 11 a.m., followed by a potluck meal and singing by New Creation.

Friendship and Owens Chapel Baptist Church Vacation Bible School will be at Horse Cave Baptist Church on June 11-15 from 6 to 8 p.m. each night. Classes will be provided for all ages. The adult class will be taught by the moderator, Pastor Eric Duke. Horse Cave Baptist Church is at 217 Church St.

Horse Cave Baptist Church will have their 150th homecoming and church anniversary Sunday. Pastor Hugh Heater will be the morning speaker. Bearwallow Baptist Church and Pastor Shayne Stockton will be the 2:30 p.m. guests. Lunch will be served upon the guests’ arrival.

Circle No. 2 of the Union District Association will host Minister Omar Scott at 3 p.m. Sunday at Seventh Street Baptist Church, 1101 Fair St., where the Rev. Don Duvall is pastor. The Rev. Dr. Earl Jackson is moderator.

Southside Baptist Church will host its free annual fireworks display at 6 p.m. June 30. They will serve hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink. Fireworks will begin at dark. Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. The church will also have its Vacation Bible School, with a kickoff at 4 p.m. July 22. Pre-register for VBS and receive a free KONA Ice. VBS will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 23-24. A meal will be served and there will be age-appropriate classes. On July 25, beginning at 6 p.m., the church will have pizza for Family Night.

Woodburn First Baptist Church, 176 Fletcher St., will have Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. June 19-21. The Rev. Roger Mohr will speak at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bowling Green, 2033 Nashville Road. The topic will be “A Complex World.” The all-church picnic will be immediately after the service at Covington Woods Park, Shelter No. 1. Bring a dish to share.

The Turner Family has the following singings scheduled: 7 p.m. EST Saturday at Jackson Hills General Baptist Church in Shepherdsville; 11 a.m. EST Sunday at Happiness Way General Baptist Church in Lebanon Junction; and at 6 p.m. EST June 17 at First General Baptist Church in Shepherdsville.

The 19th annual Kentucky Southern Gospel Music Singing Convention will be at 5 p.m. June 29 and 3 p.m. June 30 at Cave City Convention Center, 502 Mammoth Cave St. Several groups will perform. The Garmons will sing at 11 a.m. Sunday at Stevenson United Methodist Church, 1909 Stevenson Road in Franklin, for homecoming.

The Crossroads Quartet of Russell Springs will sing at 5:30 p.m. June 16 at Riverside Christian Church. Refreshments will follow.

The Golden Keys gospel quartet will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church in Oakland.

Forgiven will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Providence Knob Baptist Church, 210 Browning Road in Rockfield.
