In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Croslin excelled on the field just as he did in the classroom. Offensively, he had two triples and five doubles to go with 18 runs batted in and 20 runs scored.
He also served as the Eagles’ closer with seven saves and a 1-1 record in 12 appearances. He pitched in 15 2/3 innings, fanning 18 batters for an average of 10.6 strikeouts per nine innings pitched. Croslin allowed opponents to hit just .154 and finished with a 1.15 earned run average.
Croslin helped lead the Eagles to a 26-24 record this season.
