Worldwide Technologies, a manufacturer of heavy truck parts, gun parts and medical parts to more than 50 customers, is expanding its facility in Franklin. The company has been located in Wilkey North Industrial Park for 10 years.

The expansion will add 24,000 square feet to the plant, bringing it to a total of 51,000 square feet. Employment is projected to increase by 20, bringing total employment at the plant to about 100.

Worldwide Technologies was approved last year by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority for $200,000 in tax incentives over a 10-year period to expand its operation.

The company lists a total investment of $475,000 in building improvements and equipment on the KEDFA documents.
