Hot Rods fall at South Bend

The Bowling Green Hot Rods saw an eight-run lead slip away in a 13-11 loss at South Bend (Ind.) on Tuesday.
Bowling Green (3-3) jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the second before South Bend rallied, completing the comeback with a six-run sixth inning. The Hot Rods have lost three straight after starting the season 3-0.
The Hot Rods finished with a season high 13 hits. Moises Gomez led the way with three hits and three RBIs. Brendan McKay and Taylor Walls had two hits and two RBIs each for Bowling Green.
The series will continue at 6:05 p.m. CDT Wednesday with a pair of right handers – Drew Strotman (0-0, 5.79) for the Hot Rods and Jose Albertos (0-0, 0.00) for the Cubs – scheduled to start.
