Lady Pats’ Towery notches 1,000th career point in win

Allen County-Scottsville’s Mason Towery notched her 1,000th career point Friday night as the visiting Lady Patriots earned a 53-35 win over Franklin-Simpson.

Towery finished with a game-high 19 points for ACS (16-11). Sarah Sutton added 13 points for the Lady Patriots.

Evyn McCrutchen led the Lady Wildcats with 12 points.

ACS hosts Clinton County on Monday. Franklin-Simpson hosts Warren East on Tuesday.

South Warren 75, Henderson County 68

Visiting South Warren scored the final eight points of the game to pull out a 75-68 girls’ basketball win Friday over Henderson County.

Peyton Ferry and Jordan McDonald scored 21 points each for the Spartans. Natalie Pierce added 12 points for South Warren (26-3), which tallied its most regular-season wins in school history.

Emilee Hope scored a game-high 25 points for Henderson County.

South Warren is back in action Thursday at Hopkinsville.

Boys

Franklin-Simpson 46, ACS 39

Samuel Blackwell scored 11 points and Dee Ragland added 10 as host Franklin-Simpson picked up a 46-39 boys’ basketball win Friday over Allen County-Scottsville.

Marcus Carter tallied 13 points for ACS (9-16).

Franklin-Simpson (5-19) hosts Warren East on Tuesday. ACS hosts Warren Central on Tuesday.
