Greenwood’s Schneller headed to Brescia

Greenwood senior Adam Schneller announced his intention to play baseball next season at Brescia University in Owensboro during a ceremony Tuesday at Greenwood High School.
Schneller pitched 9 1/3 innings last year with a 3.00 ERA and 2.14 WHIP. He allowed three hits, four earned runs, struck out four and issued 17 walks.

At the plate, Schneller had a .224 batting average as a junior, had nine RBIs and scored 17 runs.
Schneller is the second Gator to announce his college baseball choice this fall after teammate Nate Cunningham signed with Kentucky Wesleyan in November.
Cunningham led the Gators last year with 56 2/3 innings pitched and a 2.96 ERA. Cunningham (5-6) struck out 64, allowed 45 hits and 24 earned runs.
