- Members of the 2017 Leadership Bowling Green class were joined by representatives from SKYCTC and Warren Central High School for presentation of a check for $11,500 that will fund dual-credit scholarships for members of this year's sophomore class at WCHS.
The Leadership Bowling Green class of 2017, as the culmination of the class service project, has presented $11,500 to Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College to support dual credit scholarships and career exploration for Warren Central High School students. The project is intended to complement and support the Chamber’s SCK LAUNCH talent development initiative.
Class members solicited sponsorships from local businesses to raise the $11,500. The money will directly support dual credit scholarships for students in this year’s sophomore class at Warren Central. Scholarships will cover expenses such as tuition and books for students participating in dual credit courses that allow them to earn college credits while still in high school.
Another part of the Leadership Bowling Green class project was a Career Exploration Day in which the 260 Warren Central sophomores visited SKYCTC and learned about various career fields.
