Western Kentucky men’s cross-country runner Taylor Scarbrough was announced Thursday by Conference USA as an all-academic honoree.

The sophomore Hilltopper was one of six athletes named to the men’s list while six more competitors earned recognition on the women’s side across the league.

Scarbrough competed in all four of WKU’s meets this season and was the Hilltoppers’ third finisher in each race. The Canton, Ga., native posted a season-best 8K mark at Pre-Nationals in Louisville, clocking a time of 25 minutes, 44.6 seconds – a career-best mark.

In the classroom, Scarbrough owns a perfect 4.0 GPA as a finance major.{&end}
