Bowling Green-based Houchens Industries Inc. opened its new Price Less IGA grocery store at 3170 Louisville Road in the Northgate Shopping Center Thursday. The former Houchens Market on the site was renovated extensively to convert it into the new store.

Price Less IGA is a cost-plus format, selling products to customers at 10 percent above the store’s cost.

The Louisville Road location is Houchens’ second Price Less in Bowling Green and 39th companywide. Houchens has Price Less IGA stores in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and Virginia.

Established in 1917, Houchens Industries operates more than 400 retail grocery, limited assortment, convenience and hybrid grocery and convenience stores in 17 states.
