WKU beats MTSU for 29th straight C-USA win

Western Kentucky swept Middle Tennessee 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-20) on Sunday at E.A. Diddle Arena and tied a Conference USA record.
The Lady Toppers (17-2 overall, 4-0 C-USA) won their 29th straight match against a C-USA opponent, tying a league record. They’ve now won 47 straight home matches against conference opponents since 2011.

WKU hit .507 as a team. Alyssa Cavanaugh (11 kills) and Rachel Anderson (nine) led a balanced Lady Tops attack.
Jessica Lucas tallied 32 assists. Sydney Engle led the defense with 10 digs, while Lucas and Emma Kowalkowski added eight and seven, respectively.
WKU held the Blue Raiders (4-14, 0-4) to a .146 attacking percentage.
The Lady Toppers’ next match is a 6 p.m. home date Friday against Southern Miss.{&end}
