Meacham named as Russellville’s new baseball coach

Tyler Meacham has been named as Russellville’s new head baseball coach, school athletic director Kyle Yates announced Monday in a news release.
Meacham, a 2007 Russellville graduate, joins fellow RHS alum Ryan Davenport in giving Russellville two homegrown leaders for its baseball and softball programs. A former player and assistant coach at Russellville, Meacham already serves as the head golf coach at the school.
He has served as an assistant boys’ basketball coach for the past five years as well as working as an assistant baseball coach under state high school hall of fame coaches in Lou Kendall and Greg Shelton. Most recently, Meacham worked alongside former Russellville baseball coach Blake Crabtree.
Meacham is a 2011 graduate of Western Kentucky with an undergraduate degree in physical education and will complete his master’ degree in teacher leadership this fall from the University of the Cumberlands.
