Hot Rods snap losing streak

The Bowling Green Hot Rods ended a 10-game losing streak with a 4-0 win at Dayton (Ohio) on Thursday.
Mikey York and two relievers combined to limit the Dragons to six hits as Bowling Green remained one game up on South Bend (Ind.) for a playoff spot with four games left.
York allowed two hits and struck out eight over six innings for Bowling Green (68-65 overall, 37-29 second half) to improve to 1-1 on the season.
Jesus Sanchez had three hits. Garrett Whitley added two hits and two RBIs.
Bowling Green will wrap up the series at Dayton at 6 p.m. CDT Friday, with right-hander Adrian Navas (11-9, 4.81) facing Dayton righty Tony Santillan (9-7, 3.25).
