Fort Wayne blasts Hot Rods

The Bowling Green Hot Rods dropped a second straight game, falling 7-1 at Fort Wayne (Ind.) on Saturday night at Parkview Field.
Fernando Tatis Jr. set the Fort Wayne franchise record with his 21st homer to break a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning and help propel the TinCaps to the victory.
Jesus Sanchez and Robbie Tenerowicz had two hits each for Bowling Green (60-55 overall, 29-19 second half), which outhit Fort Wayne 10-7 but finished 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
Peter Bayer took the loss, allowing two runs – one earned – in three innings of work.
The Hot Rods will look to secure a split when the four-game series concludes at 1:05 p.m. CDT on Sunday. Right-hander Adrian Navas (9-8, 5.29) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods. Right-hander Michel Baez (5-0, 0.74) is scheduled to start for Fort Wayne.{&end}
