Western Kentucky nabbed its second commit from the Louisville area and its 17th overall pledge for the Class of 2018 on Thursday.

WKU received a verbal commitment from Doss High School senior Terez Traynor, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound athlete rated a three-star prospect by 247sports.

Traynor also holds reported offers from Purdue, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio) and Morehead State.

He’s rated the fifth-best prospect from Kentucky by 247sports and the eighth-best recruit from Kentucky by Rivals. Traynor joins Pleasure Ridge Park cornerback Shannon Bishop as the two Class of 2018 verbal commitments hailing from the commonwealth.

Traynor did everything for Doss his junior season. He ran for 315 yards and four touchdowns, completed 17-of-34 passes for a score, had 39 receptions for 489 yards and seven touchdowns and recorded 14 tackles as a defensive back.

He was also the fourth-leading scorer for the basketball team, averaging 7.8 points per game.
