The Bowling Green Hot Rods belted out a franchise-record 25 hits Sunday to blast Lake County (Ohio) 17-6 in Eastlake, Ohio.

Bowling Green’s offensive outburst, which included a season-high for runs scored, came after the Hot Rods won 8-4 earlier in the day in the completion of a game that was postponed because of weather April 19.

Five Hot Rods had at least three hits in the 17-run outburst, which was a seven-inning contest. Lucius Fox and Eleardo Cabrera had four-hit games, with Fox, Adrian Rondon and Jesus Sanchez all hitting a homer. Rondon finished with five RBIs.

Willy Ortiz allowed three runs in five innings to improve to 1-1 on the season.

Jonah Heim and Robbie Tenerowicz homered in the completion of the suspended game, which began with Bowling Green (30-32) leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth.
