Hot Rods drop series finale at Great Lakes

The Bowling Green Hot Rods dropped the rubber match of a three-game series at Great Lakes (Mich.), falling 11-0 on Sunday.
One day after shutting out the Loons, Bowling Green (26-29) gave up a season-high 15 hits to lose the series and fall to 4-2 on a current 13-game road trip.
Willy Ortiz took the loss for the Hot Rods, allowing eight runs and nine hits in 3 1/3 innings.
The Hot Rods finished with six hits, including four singles. Garrett Whitley and Robbie Tenerowicz each had a double.
Bowling Green will open a three-game series at South Bend (Ind.) at 6:05 p.m. CDT Tuesday.
Right-hander Adrian Navas (3-5, 7.83) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods, with lefty Jose Paulino (2-1, 5.49) scheduled to start for the Cubs.
