Two defensive linemen are no longer part of the Western Kentucky football program.

Redshirt sophomore Ty’Ron Horton and redshirt freshman Cecil Stallings weren’t listed on an updated roster posted Monday by the team. Program spokesman Kyle Neaves confirmed that both are no longer members of the team.

Stallings was one of seven current or former Hilltopper football players indicted last week for their alleged involvement in a March incident at the WKU Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house.

Stallings was charged with first-degree complicity to wanton endangerment, fourth-degree complicity to assault and third-degree criminal trespass.

He and teammates Quinton Baker, Chris Johnson, Xavier Lane, Tyler Obee and Jahcour Pearson were all suspended indefinitely from team activities. Drew O’Bryan, also named in the indictment, left the program this spring and announced intentions to transfer to Eastern Kentucky.

A source close to the program said Stallings’ pending charges weren’t the only reason for his departure from the program.

Stallings is a 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive lineman from Tucker High School in Tucker, Ga. The former three-star recruit redshirted last season as a freshman.

Horton’s scholarship wasn’t renewed. He’s a 6-2, 285-pound defensive lineman who came to WKU from DuPont Manual HS in Louisville.

After redshirting in 2015, Horton saw time in eight games last season for the Toppers as a redshirt freshman. He tallied two tackles, both of which came in a win against Old Dominion.
