Hot Rods win third straight

The Bowling Green Hot Rods picked up a third straight win with a 5-1 victory at Fort Wayne (Ind.) on Wednesday.
Ethan Clark threw six innings of shutout ball and Jayson McKinley finished it off allowing one run over three innings as Bowling Green (24-27) won for the fifth time in the last six games.
Robbie Tenerowicz had two hits, including his sixth home run of the season and second in as many days. Eleardo Cabrera added two hits and two runs scored, while Rene Pinto drove in a pair of runs.
The Hot Rods will go for the sweep when the three-game series concludes at 6:05 p.m. CDT Thursday. Left-hander Kenny Rosenberg (1-3, 4.21) is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods, with righty Hansel Rodriguez (1-5, 5.22) scheduled to start for Fort Wayne.
