The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 37-year-old man in his home, officials said.

About 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Deputy Chris Wyatt with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Scottsville Loop to assist Barren Metcalfe EMS.

EMS had responded to the report of an “unresponsive male” and upon arrival found 37-year-old Scott Estes dead at the home. There were no visible signs that would point to foul play or any specific cause of death. No drugs were found inside the home, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The body of Estes will be sent to Louisville for an autopsy. Estes lived at the house with his grandmother. No additional details were available for release.
