Hilliard Lyons’ Mahurin honored

Hilliard Lyons announced that Bowling Green financial consultant Pete Mahurin has been named to the Financial Times “400 Top Financial Advisers” for 2017, a news release said.
Mitch Settle, a financial consultant in its Owensboro office, was also named.

The average Financial Times 400 adviser has 27 years of experience and manages $1.7 billion in assets. This is the fifth year that the Financial Times has compiled this list. Four Kentucky advisers were honored.
Within Hilliard Lyons, Mahurin and Settle are senior vice presidents and members of the firm’s CEO Council. The council is reserved for the top 1 percent of producers.
Mahurin has worked for the firm since 1968. He is chairman of HL Financial Services LLC, which is Hilliard Lyons’ parent company. He also serves on the board of Houchens Industries and on the boards of three Kentucky banks. He has been Hilliard Lyons’ No. 1 producer several times.
Settle was named to the Financial Times 400 for the third time in 2017. He serves on the board of First Security Bank, Kentucky Wesleyan College and The George Greenwell Charitable Foundation.
